Energise Barnet’s mission is to improve the energy efficiency of housing, reduce fuel poverty and make renewable energy affordable for all in the London borough of Barnet. A BIG challenge!

We want to change the way residents and businesses source and use energy, incentivising them to generate their own renewable energy and improve the energy efficiency of their homes and buildings.

We are impatient to transform Barnet into one of the ‘greenest’ boroughs in London.

And, to build on our passion and enthusiasm we want to roll out similar community initiatives elsewhere - Energise Ealing, Energise Enfield and Energise Bromley etc - for the benefit of local communities and generations to come.

As a social enterprise, we rely on the kind support of others to enable us to carry out our work and there are several ways you and others you know, can help:

Sponsorship
Whether you represent a small or large business, your local customers and employees will appreciate knowing about Energise Barnet as we can help them reduce energy bills and create income through generating their own energy.

By sponsoring Energise Barnet, your business will:

Volunteering
Energise Barnet will only be able to make a difference because of the people who are part of it.
Volunteers will make an essential contribution to the work we do and we are committed to inspiring and supporting people who want to make a difference by giving up their own time to help.

We need help in 'spreading the word' . For example, we need help in leafleting, help in organising and running events, help in referring homeowners and businesses to us and help in offering fundraising support.

If you are an employer, please provide your employees with the opportunity to volunteer to help us and in return, we will enable them to develop key skills ranging from facilitation to communication and presentation.

Donations
If you and others you know would like to make a donation no matter how small, we would love to hear from you. Your donation will make a real difference in supporting our work to improve the environmental well being of Barnet and help the community make and save energy. Every little bit will get us one step closer to making Barnet the 'greenest' London borough.

You can make a one-off donation - the price of a cup of coffee or whatever you won't miss would be great. Or, if you prefer, donate to us as monthly gifts to support us on an ongoing basis.

Fundraising 
Fundraising for Energise Barnet can be a brilliant way to bring friends, family or work colleagues together to do something fun, something different, something entertaining - and at the same time you'll be doing something positive to help protect the environment and support the local community. And, it's a great way to socialise!

Why not organise a quiz night? A live music gig? Or, even a cycle ride or run to Paris!

Whatever your idea , please do give us a call as we will support you in your fundraising endeavours. For example, we will provide sponsorship forms, help with setting up your own online fundraising page (which can be spread by email, Twitter and Facebook) and much, much more..

Directors and Non-Executive Directors
If you have experience and skills that can help us develop out activities, please do get in touch. Helpful areas of expertise include solar energy, insulation, accounting and finance.

Next steps
Our work has the ability to transform Barnet into one of the greenest boroughs - not just in London but in the whole of the UK. It is no good waiting for somebody else to do something. Each of us has a responsibility to 'do our bit' to help improve the environment.
